Medalla Real Gran Reserva wins at International Wine Challenge24 de May de 2019
Santa Rita received seven recognitions, with its ultra premium lines Floresta and Triple C sharing the podium with Medalla Real.
London, May 2019.- After two weeks of rigorous blind-tasting of wines from nearly 50 countries, by a panel of 400 international wine experts from 38 countries, the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2019 released its results.
Floresta Field Blend Blanco 2017 received 92 points and a Silver medal. “Vivid grapey aromatics, a hint of grapefruit and subtle textural grip, leading to a fresh finish. Good food wine”, read the comment on the wine. Floresta Carmenere 2017 on the other hand was Commended.
Medalla Real Gran Reserva Chardonnay 2018 was also awarded a Silver medal with 90 points, revealing “ripe fruit, pineapple, tropical fruit, charming bright crisp and refreshing with a succulent texture”. On the other hand, Medalla Real Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 and Medalla Real Gran Reserva Carmenere received Broze medals.
Lastly, Santa Rita’s ultra premium Cabernet Franc based blend, Triple C 2015, received a Silver medal and 90 points, highlighting its “black currant fruit with firm assertive tannins and long finish –a juicy gobful”.
