Santiago, October 2019. “Of Men and Horses” is the name of the exposition of Chilean artist Julio Palazuelos, available from October 19th to December 29th at the Museo Andino of the Fundación Claro Vial, located inside Viña Santa Rita.
A very prominent artist in his work, but somewhat unexplored in the general public, Palazuelos created this collection that seeks to represent the movement through stroke and color, where fantastic worlds are reflected through visual metaphors, which according to the audience translate legends and myths, through the domination of drawing and engraving.
Until the end of December and under the Law of Cultural Donations, the Museo Andino, inserted in Viña Santa Rita – located 45 minutes from Santiago – will offer its audience the exhibition free of charge, so that its visitors can enjoy and admire the works of the Chilean, which have been exhibited in cities in Europe and Latin America.
About the artist
Julio Palazuelos Buzeta (1931 – 2014) studied in the Art Academy of Giulio Di Girolamo and later specialized in painting and engraving in Spain, Italy and France. In 1960, he returned to Chile and was a professor in the Art Faculty of the Universidad de Chile.
