Silver Medals for Floresta Field Blend Blanco and Pewën de Apalta at the Decanter World Wine Awards

The British competition awarded six medals in total to Santa Rita wines.
London, September 2020.- The Apalta Valley, known as one of the most important terroirs for Carmenere, secured two Silver medals at the latest Decanter World Wine Awards for Santa Rita wines. Santa Rita Floresta Field Blend Blanco 2019, obtained a Silver medal and 91 points. “Savoury nose of wild exotic fruit and flowers. Quite engaging. Plenty of character on the palate with great complexity”, the contest commented on the wine, which is part of this unique range of wines made by winemaker Sebastián Labbé.
Also from the same valley, Santa Rita Pewën de Apalta 2018 achieved a Silver Medal with 90 points, highlighting its “Complex forest fruit aromas with touches of cedar and dark chocolate. Concentrated and luscious on the palate. Notes of tobacco”.
In addition, Triple C 2016, Floresta Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 and Medalla Real Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, were awarded with Bronze medals, while Floresta Chardonnay 2019 was Commended.
The DWWA 2020, one of the most influential wine competitions if the world, saw 16,518 wines blind tasted by 116 expert judges, which included 37 Masters of Wine and Master Sommerliers.
