Triple C 2014 selected as the Best Chilean Wine among Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Cellar Selection28 de November de 2019
Santiago, November 2019.- Each year, American wine magazine Wine Enthusiast publishes it Top 100 Cellar Selections, a ranking of the best cellaring wines that are available in the market today. This year, Santa Rita Triple C 2014 achieved the top spot of the two Chilean wines that were considered in the list, showcasing its superb quality and ageing potential.
About the wine, Wine Enthusiast’s Editor for Spain and South America, Michael Schachner, awarded Triple C 92 points, highlighting its “Earthy aromas of berry fruits introduce a flush palate that sizzles with acidity. Flavors of black fruits and toasty oak finish warm and spicy. All that energy and acidity means this will last another decade or more; drink through 2034”.
Crafted by winemaker Sebastián Labbé, Triple C 2014 is a blend of 65% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley, with a 5% of Carmenere sourced from the Apalta vineyards. Triple C, distinguished from its beginnings as an innovative and pioneering wine, achieving relevant accolades since its first vintage in 1997. Its label depicts the sculpture of the spring located in the Park of Santa Rita’s founder Manor House, preserved to this day as the birthplace of this wine.
