February 2020.- In its recent “Insider Weekly” Newsletter, Wine Spectator revealed its latest wine reviews, with Santa Rita Casa Real Reserva Especial 2015 obtaining 93 points.
The full tasting note will be published in a later edition of the magazine, where senior editor and Chile taster Kim Marcus reviewed “Elegant and rich, featuring concentrated and pure-tasting spiced cherry, dark plum and raspberry tart flavors, backed by firm acidity and medium-grained tannins. Bittersweet chocolate notes fill the creamy finish. Drink now through 2024”.
Elaborated only on the finest vintages by winemaker Sebastián Labbé, Casa Real Reserva Especial 2015 is sourced from 50-year-old vineyards located in Santa Rita’s Alto Jahuel estate, in the Maipo Alto Valley. With a history of 30 years, Casa Real’s first vintage, 1989, received the prestigious “Wine Legend” title by Decanter magazine, being the first South American wine to achieve the accolade.
