Casa Real: The Ultimate Expression of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, in Dialogue with the World’s Great Wine Icons
11 de June de 2026
An exclusive blind tasting with Monsterville brought together collectors and connoisseurs to discover the depth, elegance, and enduring character of a wine born from the historic terroirs of the Maipo Valley.
In a comparative blind tasting with Monsterville, an exclusive U.S.-based wine club, the iconic Casa Real was presented by its Commercial Director Marie-Charlotte Fraysse alongside some of the most recognized names in the world of wine. The experience placed into perspective the identity and heritage of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley, as well as its ability to reveal, over time, the expression of one of the New World’s most exceptional terroirs.
During the event, collectors, connoisseurs, and members of this exclusive community discovered the 1995, 2012, 2019, and 2020 vintages of the Chilean label alongside icons such as Château Brane-Cantenac, Château Giscours, Paul Hobbs Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cheval des Andes, revealing the evolution and depth of each bottle through a journey across different origins and winemaking philosophies.
Born from historic vineyards located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Casa Real has been a pioneer among South America’s Cabernet Sauvignon icons since its first vintage in 1989. Crafted from carefully selected old vines across 20 hectares of Carneros Viejo and Población vineyards in Alto Jahuel, the wine was conceived with the vision of creating a Chilean expression capable of standing alongside the world’s leading references.
Its purity, consistency, and authenticity reflect a winemaking philosophy rooted in tradition and respect for terroir, values that trace back to the history of Viña Santa Rita, founded in 1880 and recognized for its heritage, innovation, and commitment to producing world-class wines. This legacy was recently recognized by Forbes Guide, which named it the best winery in the world, highlighting the exceptional convergence of heritage, innovation, sustainability, social impact, wine tourism, and winemaking excellence.
The experience with Monsterville reaffirms Casa Real’s position among Chile’s and the world’s most iconic wines: a label that not only embodies the rich heritage of Alto Jahuel, but also reflects Santa Rita’s ongoing pursuit of creating an experience where historic legacy meets a clear vision for the future.
