Viña Santa Rita celebrates another major accolade. Floresta Carmenère 2021 has been ranked 35th in the prestigious The Enthusiast 100: The Best Wines of 2024, an annual list curated by the renowned U.S. magazine Wine Enthusiast that recognizes and rewards the best wines of the world.

With 93 points awarded by the magazine’s expert panel, led by journalist Jesica Vargas, the wine was described as an “impeccable Carmenère that stands out for its authenticity, with a fresh and delicate finish.”

Floresta Carmenère 2021 is part of the exclusive Colección de Origen, Santa Rita’s premium wine collection inspired by the historic centenary park surrounding the winery, which was declared a Historical Monument in 1972. This exceptional wine was crafted by winemaker Teresita Ovalle, recently named Young Winemaker of the Year by the prestigious Chilean wine guide Mesa de Cata 2025 by La CAV.

The wine originates from vineyards over 80 years old in the Apalta Valley, recognized worldwide as one of the best regions for this variety. This unique terroir, with its distinctive horseshoe shape facing south, provides exceptional soil and climate conditions that have preserved its legacy for decades. Floresta stands out for its innovation and a minimalist winemaking approach, offering a fresh perspective on this classic variety. For this Carmenère, this approach includes early harvesting and 12 months of aging in concrete tanks, enhancing the purity and authenticity of the grape. The result is a wine noted for its depth, freshness, and remarkable persistence on the palate.
