Santa Rita achieves great recognition at the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters28 de August de 2021
The Cabernet Sauvignon Global Masters, a competition developed by UK-based magazine The Drinks Business, is the only competition that blind tastes wines based solely on variety, leaving origin and location aside and judging solely on style and price.
This year’s event awarded outstanding scores to Santa Rita wines, with the panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior wine buyers tasting through the different Cabernet Sauvignon offers of Santa Rita.
The incredible quality of our wines was highlighted and resulted in the excellent results:
Santa Rita was awarded four Gold medals: Casa Real Reserva Especial 2018 and Floresta Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, included by Patrick Schmitt MW in his related article of the top ten Cabernet trends of this year. “…the wines have a new-found brightness –Floresta in particular- and a structure that suggests that cellaring will be rewarding; so keep your Casa Real”, he writes.
The Medalla Real line also showed great consistency, with Medalla Real Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 and Medalla Real Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 securing a Gold medal, while Medalla Real Gold Medal Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 obtained a Silver medal.
