London, March 31st, 2022.- Highlighting wineries from around the world, The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands conducted by Drinks International, revealed its Top 50 wineries from around the globe during an online event held today.

For the 11th time, Viña Santa Rita was selected as one of the most relevant brands in the international wine industry (#46), a position it has held for eleven years, building on its reputation, patrimony and quality of its wines. The winery, was one in only five Chilean producers to be included in the ranking, which is developed by leading British magazine Drinks International. The list shines a light on the most iconic and innovative producers on the planet, highlighting in this occasion the credentials and history of Santa Rita.

The report comments: “Chile’s Santa Rita has taken up residency in this list in the past few years, which is perhaps appropriate for a company that boasts centuries of winemaking heritage and whose Alto Jahuel base has national historic monument status. Santa Rita’s wines are lent a certain authenticity by their connections with the local landscape and its history. Casa Real Reserva Especial is one of Chile’s most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignons and takes its name from the original founder’s home that is now the company’s Hotel Casa Real.”

Conducted on annual basis, the survey was created “after surveying hundreds of wine buyers, sommeliers, wholesalers, bar owners, Masters of Wine, writers, educators and other specialists on the brands they admire the most”, says Managing Editor Martin Green. “The voting academy is made up of professionals from every continent, and we have worked hard to ensure a strong geographical and demographic spread”.

On this edition, Familia Torres from Spain was the number one brand, with Penfolds from Australia in the second position. Other Chilean brands included in the list were Cono Sur, Concha y Toro, Errázuriz and Montes.
