Santa Rita Estates presents its sixth sustainability report
10 de July de 2021
As part of its commitment with sustainability, Santa Rita Estates presents its latest GRI Sustainability Report 2018-2019. This is the sixth biannual version of this relevant management tool, which accounts for the winery’s performance in social, environmental and economic aspects.
Among the most important elements of Santa Rita’s program, which are reflected in this Report, is the execution of the Strategic Sustainability Plan that the company has defined as its roadmap, enabling to establish, together with its collaborators, the priorities in the social, environmental and economic areas. These priorities show where the organization wants to develop projects for the continued improvement of its business.
In addition to the prioritization and management of its own projects, Santa Rita Estates has adhered to different associative initiatives, with the aim to amplify advancements in its practices and to contribute in the improvement of people’s quality of life and in the environment where it operates. Noteworthy is that the Strategic Sustainability Plan and its projects, aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN in the 2030 Agenda.
As for the community, Santa Rita continued with its Territorial Valorization Program that began in 2012 with its two projects: “Harvest: from grape to wine” and “Knowing the biodiversity of my territory”. Through this initiative, the company seeks to rescue and value the winemaking tradition and culture, as well as the historical and natural environment aspects that surrounds it, aiming for the strengthening of the territory’s activities and culture to drive the local community development.
We restate that sustainability has to be the convergence between being environmentally friendly, socially equitable and economically viable over time. As such, Santa Rita will continue working in the search of permanent improvement, focusing its initiatives in social, cultural and educational aspects, as well as the care for the environment.
