In the second annual Global Drinks Intel ESG Awards, the only dedicated competition in the W&S business that distinguishes efforts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters, Santa Rita Estates received a special commendation in the “Sustainable Wine Product of the Year” category. With operations in Argentina and Chile, this distinction recognizes the company’s initiative to give 170 scholarships for its employees in the former as part of its commitment to the well-being of its workers.

The awards ceremony took place on Monday, September 30, during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, where winners in 15 categories received trophies. Now in its second year, the ESG Awards raise awareness and recognise the achievements of those alcoholic beverage companies and brands that are leading the way in environment, social and governance activities. In the “Sustainable Wine Product of the Year” category, Champagne Telmont was awarded the trophy, while Santa Rita Estates received the special commendation for its outstanding actions, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to team development and the promotion of best practices in ESG.
