The initiative not only seeks to certify the origin, but also to combat piracy, improve the quantity and quality of product information, in addition to optimizing traceability and control of cloning. All of it through an application.
Viña Santa Rita is the first winery to participate in an alliance with the technology company Tar System to ensure the originality of the products and thus recover the certainty of consumers and producer, through the installation of a chip seal containing three layers of security. This will start with a pilot plan made in conjunction with the Casa Real Escudo de Familia Carmenere wine.
This combines NFC technology, which is characterized by exchanging information between two devices at a short distance, along with a unique ID per chip, data encryption and write protection. This tool not only works to certify the origin, but also to combat piracy, improve the quantity and quality of product information, in addition to optimizing traceability and control (customs, health and tax), both exports and imports. This way, they achieve an engagement between the producer and the final consumers.
The launch of the pilot plan for this innovative technology took place at Viña Santa Rita on November 25, attended by high-level representatives of the public and private sectors such as CPC, SOFOFA, CNC, SNA, Fedefruta, ASOEX and Vinos de Chile. Authorities from the Ministries of Agriculture and Economy, and services and entities such as Customs, SII, PDI, CORFO and Pro-Chile, also participated in the event.
The project began with the support of the Fundación por la Innovación Agraria (FIA) and today has an alliance with Top Winemakers and Viña Santa Rita, and is currently in the process of implementation.
